Hyundai x RISD Research
This project is my personal exploration of the possibilities of phosphorescent ceramic materials. Glow-in-the-dark materials work by gradually releasing energy absorbed from ambient light.
Nowadays, 19 percent of all the global energy use is for lighting. I believe this material has a strong potential to save energy so I am currently testing on the glow-in-the-dark glaze for low fire temperature (695 C~1070 C) which can be more durable and has a lower risk of being damaged than luminescent paint.
